    Climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge is a unique way to view the world famous harbour area. Your qualified guide will lead your small group up the eastern arch, through steel catwalks, to the summit. On reaching the top of the bridge, you will be able to stop to celebrate your moment of glory. Take in the unrivalled panorama of Sydney Harbour and its famous surroundings 400 feet below, before descending down the western arch. Back on the ground and invigorated by your ascent, you will receive a souvenir photograph of your climb.

    Continue on foot to The Rocks, Sydney's oldest village, for a brief walking tour. The Rocks is the heart of the metropolis and the area where the city's first settlers hammered together a primitive village. As you tread through this centuries-old district, discover notable buildings, classic terrace houses and sandstone cottages. Stop for refreshments at a traditional Australian pub to celebrate your epic achievement.

    TRAVEL INSURANCE

    This excursion will operate on foot. The tour is recommended only for those in good physical condition. Children must be over 12 years old to participate. No loose items of clothing are allowed on the Bridge – lockers are provided. Guests are required to undergo an alcohol breath test. Your visit will start with a safety briefing before being fitted with protective suits and harnessed to safety rails by sliding cables. Personal cameras, mobile phones and video equipment are not permitted on the climb. The bridge climb takes approximately 3½ hours to complete. Flat, enclosed walking shoes are recommended.

    Become acquainted with the time-honoured customs and protocols of Maori culture on this fascinating excursion.

    Northland and Maori Culture

    Travel to Waimate North for a visit to New Zealand’s first inland missionary station, where your guide will explain its influence on tribal Maori. At Northland’s oldest carved marae (sacred place), you will see the communal facility where Maori traditions are lived and maintained. The building itself is constructed in the traditional manner and decorated with original designs painted by local craftsmen. Your visit will reveal the special significance of marae to the Maori people. Your Maori guide will also explain the traditional protocols, which all visitors experience when visiting such places.

    See the farming countryside as you drive to the Kaikohe Pioneer Village, a 19th century Northland village. It contains a range of displays including farm machinery, an old logging train, a smithy and a number of old stores and shops as well as Kaikohe Jail, the Waimate North Courthouse and Maioha Cottage. A buffet luncheon will be served in the town of Kaikohe.

    After luncheon, travel to the beautiful and historic Waitangi Treaty Grounds, where New Zealand’s founding document was signed between the British Crown and Maori chiefs. Set in the lush grounds is one of New Zealand's oldest and most visited historic homes, a Maori house of learning and the worlds largest war canoe.

    Embark on a drive through the breathtaking scenery of the New Forest to Beaulieu, one of England’s top visitor attractions. On the journey, you will pass by a quaint village and glimpse some of the wild ponies and livestock which the New Forest is famous for.

    Beaulieu has many highlights including the National Motor Museum, an Ancient Abbey, Palace Manor House and a variety of gardens including a Victorian, kitchen and wilderness garden.

    Within the fascinating National Motor Museum you can see some of the earliest examples of motoring from the 1890s through to legendary world-record breakers, such as Campbell’s jet powered Bluebird which broke the world land speed record in 1964. The museum has a 1930s street scene which shows the shops, vehicles and tradesmen of the period which will bring back memories of a bygone era.

    During 2013 you'll be able to witness the fascinating BOND IN MOTION exhibition, which houses the world’s largest collection of original James Bond vehicles. Celebrating 50 years of Bond, with 50 vehicles from the films, this exhibition includes iconic on-screen favourites such as Goldfinger’s Rolls-Royce Phantom III, Zao’s Jaguar XKR loaded with weapons from Die Another Day and Bond’s Aston Martin DBS from Quantum of Solace.

    Admire the remains of the lovely 13th century Abbey with its timeless beauty and tranquil atmosphere. One of the buildings now houses a monastic exhibition which illustrates the daily life of the Cistercian Monks.

    The grand Palace Manor House has been the stately home of the Montagu family since 1538. With its combination of 14th century Gothic and 19th century Scottish Baronial architecture, the House offers an insight into the past with many fascinating family treasures, portraits and photographs.

    Your Maori Warrior host will welcome you at Waitangi Wharf, where a safety briefing will be given before boarding your ornate 50 foot Waka Taua (Maori War Canoe). The tribal members will show you traditional paddling techniques, Waka manoeuvres and chants, whilst you absorb the breathtaking beauty of the Waitangi River eco-systems and the passing flora and fauna.

    As you glide up the peaceful and tranquil tidal estuaries of the Waitangi River, your Maori host will share personal tribal and family histories from an ancient past. The Ngapuhi tribe have a traditional knowledge and their storytelling skills are legendary.

    With the splendour of panoramic views, vibrant and stunning colours from the native forest stretching the length of the river banks and beyond, the voyage culminates with the arrival in the pool of the sacred and spiritual waterfall of Haruru Falls. The magic of this place is brought to life by the skilful oratory of the Maori storytellers.

    As you paddle back along the river, you’ll see the family Marae, a sacred shrine of worship, where some of the local tribal members will greet you as you pass. You’ll return to port with a deeper understanding of the Maori culture and an experience that will leave a lasting impression.

As you drive through the lush orchards, your guide will provide an insight into the dynamic kiwifruit Industry and the complexities of the growing process. Discover how this unique pocket of land is able to grow the world’s healthiest fruit better than anywhere else in the world.     Before your return to Honolulu, a grand finale awaits.     This excursion will operate by coach. Spaces are limited, therefore early booking is recommended. There will be approximately 15 minutes of free time at Bondi Beach. Most surfaces are paved, however there maybe some uneven ground at Mrs Macquarie’s Chair.
