    Take in the sights of Pisa by trolley train and boat. A perfect way to see the highlights of Pisa at an easy pace.

    Pisa by Trolley & Boat

    Board your boat for a scenic ride along the Arno River, which will allow you to see the principal sights of Pisa's historical centre while your guide gives commentaries on the monuments and the city's history.

    Following your boat ride you will be transferred by trolley train to the main square of Pisa, the Field of Miracles. You guided tour of the square will include an exterior visit of the famous Leaning Tower, the Cathedral and Baptistery.

    You will have around 45 minutes of free time to enjoy Miracle Square. Take some photographs of the incredible Leaning Tower, do a spot of souvenir shopping, enjoy an ice cream or relax in a nearby café.

    Take note of the meeting point for your trolley train transfer back to the parking area, where you will rejoin the coach for the return drive to Livorno.


    This excursion will operate by coach, boat and trolley train. Guests' must be able to negotiate steps on and off the coach as well as the trolley train and boat.     Take a scenic drive along the coastal road to Nice, passing through Beaulieu and Villefranche-sur-Mer. Upon arrival in Nice, you will take a guided walk through the narrow streets of the Vieille Ville — the Old Town. Afterwards, enjoy some free time to explore on your own, relax in a café or stroll through the delightful flower market.

    Leaving Nice, you will drive along the famous Promenade des Anglais, then take the motorway to the glittering resort of Cannes. Upon arrival, you will have some free time to explore the Côte d’Azur’s most famous resort, home to the internationally renowned film festival. Stroll La Croisette, which separates the elegant town from parkland and beaches, browse the boutiques or view the pleasure boats in the marina.

    A delicious luncheon of local delicacies will be served in a restaurant in Cannes.

    Nice, the undisputed 'Queen and Capital' of the French Riviera. Take a drive along the Promenade des Anglais, a three-mile-long seafront boulevard with palms and flowers following the curve of the wonderful Bay of Angels.

    Popular with both the young and the young-at-heart, the Little Train is an effortless way to discover Nice. Board the small tourist train for a narrated ride through Nice. See the narrow streets of the Old Town and pass by the Cours Saleya, where the local flower market takes place. Climb up to Castle Hill Park, which provides an excellent view over Old Nice and the glittering Baie des Anges.

    You will have approximately one hour of free time to enjoy in the atmospheric Old Town. Stroll the beach front promenade, brows for local souvenirs or just relax in a nearby café.


    This excursion will operate by coach and on road train. This tour involves limited walking however passengers must be able to undertake an approximate 15 minute walk from the coach parking area to the land train departure point. There are also some steps to negotiate, including those onto and off the coach. Passengers will also be required to undertake a certain amount of walking during free time. In order to use toilet facilities passengers are advised to purchase a drink from one of the small café. These are likely to be located on the basement level. On Mondays the flower market is replaced with a flea market.

    On arrival in Florence, you will take a walk to Santa Croce Square with your Escort. Sightsee at leisure or enjoy ‘people-watching’ from a ringside seat at one of the cafés in the Piazza della Signoria. Re-visit some of the wonderful monuments missed on a previous occasion or browse in the elegant boutiques in the city or at the goldsmiths on the famous Ponte Vecchio.

    This is the perfect tour option for those who want to take in some of the many museums Florence has to offer, such as the Accademia, Uffizi, the Medici chapels and many more.

    Alternatively, you may want to take your place in the queue to visit the spectacular interior of the Duomo or climb the heights of its impressive dome for incomparable views of the city.

    The day is yours to do as you please. Your Escort will arrange to meet at a specified time and place for the return drive to Livorno.

    Travel to the sleepy town of La Unión in search of ‘Fools Gold’.

    The sleepy town of La Unión is located a short drive from Cartagena, and was once one of the most important mining districts in Spain.

    The cluster of mines that contains the Agrupa Vicenta Mine is situated within the Sierra Minera, a small mountain range north of La Unión. Romans and Carthaginians extracted silver from this area over 2,000 years ago but more recently the mines were exploited for their zinc, iron, lead and pyrite – better known as Fools Gold due to its many similarities to Gold.br/>
    On arrival in La Union you will be transferred by ‘Mine Train’ to the entrance of the mine and begin your journey into the subterranean maze of chambers vaults and pillars. With the aid of an audio visual presentation, lights and theatrics, the 150 year old workings of the mine will come alive as you pass old wagons used to transport minerals, mining keys and pyrite crystals on the walls. When you are 80m below ground you will discover an underground lake with water coloured by the pyrite to look like thick chocolate.

    At the end of your tour enjoy a short flamenco recital from local La Unión residents before your journey back to Cartagena.

    Marseille was founded in the 6th century BC by Greek settlers from Phocea, and was named ‘Massalia’.     Winding your way round one of Europe’s oldest cities, admire the Cathedral de la Major, a huge and extravagant construction started in the 19th century in Neo-Byzantine style. View the gilded statue of the Virgin and Child housed over the bell tower of the Basilica Notre-Dame de la Garde, perched high above the city of Marseille.

    A scenic drive will take you along the promenade to the Corniche. Admire the stunning views of the craggy coves and little beaches tucked away along the coastline, spot the spooky Château d’If, the city’s penal colony in a bygone era.     Upon arrival in to Monaco, your guided walking tour takes you through the narrow, twisting lanes and vaulted passageways of the old city. The picturesque buildings date back to the 14th century.

    The Royal Palace is located in the west end of the old city facing the Place du Palais and still retains its medieval towers. An audio player narrates the Palace’s highlights as you tour the ornate state apartments, including the first Empire-style Throne Room and the Chambre d’York.

    The St Nicholas Cathedral is built on the site of a 13th century church and is the site of the royal tombs. Princess Grace and Prince Rainier are interred in the cathedral, located in the heart of the old city. Thousands come each year to pay their respects.

    The fascinating Centre of Cartagena History is situated in the Tower of Homage, one of the few buildings that remain from the Castle of Conception.     Enter the Punic world in The Interpretation Centre of the Punic Wall, which protects the remains of the wall once used to defend Cartagena. A visit will be made to the 16th century crypt to see the now faint frescoes of Death, the Great Leveller, dancing on the Papal Crown.

    The Roman period is well represented by two visits beneath the modern city. The Decumano will show you a tract on the main Roman thoroughfare, lined with the remains of the thermal baths and shops.

    The setting for the famous Leaning Tower and splendid Cathedral is the Field of Miracles. Here you will also find the Baptistry and Campo Santo. The Cathedral is one of the finest Pisan-Romanesque buildings in Tuscany; its wonderful four-tiered façade is a medley of colonnades and intricate arcades.(exterior visit only)

    The foundations of the Leaning Tower of Pisa began to subside when the builders reached the fourth storey, and each year it was said to lean a little more. A band around the tower prevented further lean, and the tower is now in the same condition as it was in 1810 (exterior visit only).

    Time permitting, you will have a chance to do a spot of shopping and browse Pisa's many souvenir stalls.

    Absorb the tranquil atmosphere of Exbury Gardens as you wander around the stunning gardens which are bursting with beautiful colours.

    Your journey will take you through the beautiful New Forest National Park, where you will have the chance to see the famous New Forest ponies which graze on the wild heathland, before arriving at Exbury Gardens. Created in the 1920’s, Exbury Gardens are a spectacular 200 acre site, world famous for the Rothschild collection of rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias, rare trees and shrubs. So spectacular are the gardens that the Queen of England enjoys private visits every year.

    The Gardens have been specially created to reflect the changing colours of nature throughout the different seasons. During the spring the magnolias, camellias, azaleas and wisteria burst into flower, whilst the Daffodil Meadow is a carpet of glorious gold. The spectacular collection of over ten thousand rhododendron specimens is at its best with its display of beautiful colours.

    During the tour there will be the opportunity to take a delightful 20 minute ride on a small narrow gauge steam railway to see parts of the Gardens not accessible on foot.

    The Gardens contain a quaint tearoom, which serves a delicious English cream tea (own expense), and an extensive gift shop selling an array of gifts and souvenirs.
