    Brian J Ford

    Brian J Ford is a leading scientist and writer. He is a Professor at Leicester University, a Fellow of Cardiff University, and a former Fellow at the Open University. He is well known as an international lecturer. Brian first travelled on QE2 to New York over 30 years ago; this is his tenth season as a Cunard guest speaker.

    He is on television around the world, recently he featured in the ‘Weird Weapons’ documentaries, based on his books about wartime science. In Britain he has hosted TV programmes including ‘Computer Challenge’ and ‘Science Now’, and appeared on ‘Newsnight’ and ‘Any Questions?’.Brian has also been a regular panelist on ‘Round Britain Quiz’ partnering Lady Antonia Fraser. In private life, Brian is a distinguished research scientist whose books have appeared in over 100 editions in many countries.
