  • Ian Ridpath

    Ian Ridpath

A particular interest of Ian’s is the Greek myths of the constellations, which he wrote about in his book Star Tales and which will form the subject of his opening talk. Ian is editor of the authoritative Oxford Dictionary of Astronomy and is a former Council member of the Royal Astronomical Society.

As well as the myths of the sky, Ian’s fast-moving and highly illustrated talks will cover our neighbour worlds the planets, with stunning images from space probes and the world’s most powerful telescopes, and he will also be giving live star shows on deck during this voyage, weather permitting.
