Queen Victoria

Queen Victoria offers an exciting programmes to all children and teenagers, aged from 2 -17 years. The specially designed areas known as the The Play Zone, The Zone and The Teen Zone are complimentary and offer a peace of mind of knowing that your children are well looked after and can socialise with other young people.

NIGHT NURSERY (12 months-23 months)
The Night Nursery is open from 6.00pm to 11.00pm. This facility is available to children aged 12 months to 23 months and operates on a first come first served basis. In order to avoid waking other children we kindly ask you to settle your children before bringing them to the Night Nursery and ensure that they are settled to sleep before leaving them. Please ensure you sign your child both in and out with the Nursery Staff on duty and that you inform them of your whereabouts throughout the evening, you will also receive a pager should we need to contact you.

THE PLAY ZONE (2 - 7 year olds)
The Play Zone is a permanently supervised play area, staffed by qualified early years staff, for children aged 2-7 years. These activities include arts, crafts, books, puzzles and variety of toys and computer games. The Nursery Staff will undertake structured activities and supervise free play to ensure your child a fun experience on board the Queen Victoria. There is also a sheltered outdoor play area with a range of play equipment including cars and tricycles. The evening session will start with activities followed by a movie. The toys will be put away and the children will be encouraged to settle down on the cushions and bean bags.

THE KIDS ZONE (8 - 12 year olds)
Supervised by Youth Staff, The Zone is an area designed for 8- to 12 year olds providing games and activities such as games consoles plus sport competitions, arts and crafts and scavenger hunts. On certain evenings, the group will go on ‘outings’ to watch spectacular shows in the Royal Court Theatre and there is also a large plasma screen for showing age appropriate movies each evening.

THE TEEN ZONE (13-17 year olds)
The Teen Zone is a club for the 13-17 year olds. We offer a number of daily activities centred around certain public rooms on board. Activities will include table tennis tournaments, team games and deck sports throughout the day, with pizza parties, discos, quizzes and bingo during the evenings. Teenagers will also watch the shows in the Royal Court Theatre and take their seats for film screenings in ConneXions.

Please note - the exact age groupings for the teenagers will depend on the number of children travelling on any particular voyage,during non peak season the age groups will be joined together.

MINIMUM AGE TO PARTICIPATE
The minimum age for children to participate in supervised daytime activities without parent/guardian is two years old, however for families travelling with children under two we would encourage you to come and use the facilities and activities with your toddlers under your supervision.

* PLEASE NOTE: The youth areas will be closed during the General Emergency Drill on embarkation day.
