Kiel, Germany

Choose your perspective on Kiel’s waterfront: from atop the Rathaus's century-old tower or from the Hindenburg Embankment, which winds for three kilometres along the fjord’s west flank. Maritime history buffs may choose to visit nearby beach town, Laboe, where you’ll find restored Second World War submarine, U-Boat 995.
