Was Marco Polo born here? That’s the disputed claim to fame here, and you can even call in at his supposed birthplace. True or not, Korcula’s exquisite medieval streets – encircled by sparkling sea on three sides, dominated by St Mark’s Cathedral and home to the colourful Moreska Sword Dance – will certainly bring out the explorer in you.

It is believed that Marco Polo was born here, enter a small part of this house and take in the spectacular views over the rooftops.

PUPNAT
Home to one of the most beautiful pebble beaches on the island - Pupnatska Luka. This is also the oldest settlement in Croatia and the architecture in this village is well worth a visit.

VRNIK
Take a taxi boat from the main harbour to this tiny island and enjoy the clear blue waters in these secluded swimming areas.
