Dr Peter Dean

Dr Peter Dean qualified first in dentistry and then in medicine. After a brief return to dental surgery, he trained as a General Practitioner and, while working in an East London practice, started working part time as a Police Surgeon or Forensic Medical Examiner with the Metropolitan Police in London. After further legal studies he became a coroner and now divides his time between working as a Coroner in Suffolk and Essex, and practicing Clinical Forensic Medicine in London. He has written numerous articles on the subject, and also advises on the forensic aspects of television drama series such as Silent Witness and Waking the Dead for the BBC. He has a particular interest in the historical development of forensic medicine, and will touch on various aspects of this in his series of lectures.

Royal Astronomical Society

Cunard is proud to present the Royal Astronomical Society speakers on board for the second year. Fellows from the RAS will present talks, lectures and debates. Star gazing on deck (weather permitting) will also be offered with the use of telescopes with guided sessions from the experts. All guests are cordially invited to either bring along binoculars or use the on board telescope. Learn about the constellations, meteorites, space travel and how astronomy provides the scientific answers to many of life’s mysteries.
