John Taylor
John Taylor, Master of Wine, has been in the Wine Trade his entire life and has built up extensive experience in all aspects of the trade. John worked with Grants of St James’s (part of Allied-Domecq plc) becoming a director and subsequently Managing Director of their Fine Wines division. Since leaving corporate life he has worked with mailorder and internet companies, building significant experience in all areas of the business but specializing in the selection of individual wines from quality driven producers. The search for quality wines at affordable prices has been his constant goal. He is now conducting educational courses for consumers and hosting trips to wine producing regions. Extensive wine-related travel includes Europe, South Africa, New Zealand, and South America but his heart and soul are in France. John Taylor became a Master of Wine in 1972. There are less than two hundred and fifty Masters of Wine worldwide.
